Quotes

I love coming across gems such as these below which cause me to think and reflect

Elizabeth Barret Browning:

1)Light tomorrow with today!

2)Earth’s crammed with heaven, And every common bush afire with God: But only he who sees takes off his shoes.

3)The Greeks said grandly in their tragic phrase, ‘Let no one be called happy till his death;’ to which I would add, ‘Let no one, till his death, be called unhappy.’

William Blake:

1)He who binds to himself a joy Does the winged life destroy; But he who kisses the joy as it flies Lives in eternity’s sun rise.

2)Poetry fettered, fetters the human race. Nations are destroyed or flourish in proportion as their poetry, painting, and music are destroyed or flourish.

3)The tree which moves some to tears of joy is in the eyes of others only a green thing that stands in the way. Some see nature all ridicule and deformity… and some scarce see nature at all. But to the eyes of the man of imagination, nature is imagination itself.

William Wordsmith:

1)Fill your paper with the breathings of your heart.

2)With an eye made quiet by the power of harmony, and the deep power of joy, we see into the life of things.

3)Poetry is the spontaneous overflow of powerful feelings: it takes its origin from emotion recollected in tranquility.

Peace,Love, and Joy… Strongheart
