Haiku#9 (Haiku Quartet)

Haiku#9 (Haiku Quartet)

Moonbeams breathe life to
Scarecrows, pumpkin dotted fields,
Frost covered clotheslines

Steepled evergreens
Pine cones roll on empty roofs,
Smoke scallops to sky

Untethered by wind
Summer’s faded bloom carried
On flat bottomed clouds

Butter soft porches
Shield autumnal equinox
Harvests, between slats
